What changed in each release of the yourTimecard app. The version you're running is on the Help tab, at the bottom — tap it to come back here.
The desktop admin app is versioned separately: admin version history.
1.11.0
30 July 2026
Current
Invites reworked end to end: one link that does the explaining, and proof of who sent it.
-
Added
- Invite links now open a page that walks through installing the app and activating the code, so a single link covers both steps.
- That page confirms who invited you and to which business, checked against the server — an unexpected code from an unfamiliar number can now be verified before you act on it.
- The page says when a code has already been used or has expired, instead of letting you install the app and then fail to pair.
- Coming back to that page from the app now confirms your device was enrolled — checked with the server, so it only says so when pairing really went through.
- A security page explaining how passwordless pairing works and why it's stronger than a password, with a note on jailbroken and rooted phones.
- Tapping the version number on the Help tab opens this page.
-
Changed
- Invite text messages are now one sentence and one link. The download link, the numbered steps, and the typed-out code moved to the web page.
- Invite codes now expire one hour after they are issued, rather than seven days.
-
Fixed
- Tapping an invite link on a device that was already set up dropped you into the company you were already in and ignored the code. It now opens the join-a-company screen with the code filled in.
1.0.0 – 1.10.5
25 – 29 July 2026
The first month of development, from a single-company time clock to the app as it stands. Grouped rather than split by version: the numbering moved faster than the record of it did.
-
Added
- Pair a device with an invite code or a QR scan — no passwords, no accounts. Each device generates its own key and only ever sends the public half.
- Clock in and out, with a calendar-style time card carrying running weekly and monthly totals.
- Support for belonging to more than one business on the same device, with a company selector and a persistent company header.
- Pay periods — weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly and project-based — anchored to each business's payday.
- Projects and jobs, groups and teams, employee titles, and per-title permissions.
- Location tracking modes: off, on the clock, while the app is running, or always — with optional movement-based tracking between intervals.
- A live map of who is on the clock and where.
- Reports: hours by employee, payroll summary, and a location trail for a shift.
- Automatic clock-out for shifts left running past a limit each business sets.
- Self-service profile, so employees can keep their own contact details current.
- Per-business Help tab text, replacing the standard wording.
-
Changed
- The app was renamed from myTimecard to yourTimecard.
- Each business moved to its own separate database.
